Sargent and Lundy expands to second office in Kincardine
Sargent and Lundy is expanding its local operations and opening a second office in Kincardine which it will share with sub-contractor APTIM Services Canada Corp.

The office expansion is a result of a new agreement with Bruce Power to support its Life-Extension Program, which will allow the site to operate through 2064.

“Sargent and Lundy has been committed to helping Bruce Power achieve its goals since we first began working together in 2001, and we are pleased to have a new agreement with Bruce Power to enhance this relationship and expand our local presence,” said Delfo Bianchini, Sargent and Lundy’s executive vice-president and director of nuclear power. “We look forward to continuing to support Bruce Power and the local community as we move forward.”

Located at 807 Queen St., Kincardine, the office is directly adjacent to the existing office at 801 Queen St. The new office will double Sargent and Lundy’s local footprint and employ an additional 20 engineering and construction professionals dedicated to Bruce Power.

“The long-term Asset Management Program is an important part of delivering our Life-Extension Program on-time and on-budget,” said John Soini, Bruce Power’s executive vice-president of finance and commercial services. “Sargent and Lundy’s expansion to support this program locally will create value-added, high-paying jobs in our communities and bring additional benefits for surrounding businesses and overall community economic development.”

Bruce county warden Mitch Twolan Warden said it was just six months ago that Sargent and Lundy was welcomed into the region, when it opened its first local office.

“To see Sargent and Lundy already expand its footprint and create more local jobs is a demonstration of the important commitment Bruce Power suppliers are making in our region to establish a local presence and to continuously expand their local operations,” he said.
