Cold, windy night for Hometown Christmas in downtown Kincardine
It was a great night to be inside shopping, but a cold, windy evening for taking in the activities at Hometown Christmas, Friday, in downtown Kincardine.

But the brutal weather did not deter people from attending, as they were bundled up in winter coats, snowsuits, boots, hats, mitts and scarves, to enjoy this official kick-off to the holiday shopping season.

Youngsters waited in line to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, while others stood in line for the horse-drawn wagon rides.

The event also featured a Live Nativity Scene and petting zoo, and the Kincardine Community Singers with their joyous carolling up and down Queen Street.

Most of the downtown stores were open late, and shoppers were taking advantage of discounts and sales as part of Hometown Christmas.
