Thieves swipe rims and tires from five brand new vehicles in Goderich
(GODERICH, ON) - Huron County OPP officers are investigating the theft of rims and tires, stolen last week from the Goderich Honda dealership located on Huron Road in Goderich.
Friday, Nov. 24, around 4 a.m., a delivery driver pulled into the dealership lot and immediately noticed several vehicles put up on cinder blocks with missing rims and tires.
In total, five brand new Honda vehicles had the complete set of tires and rims stolen. The suspects also smashed out the passenger-side window of a brand new Honda Accord and proceeded to steal a wheel lock key. The total value of the stolen rims and tires is estimated at $17,000.
Police believe the suspects used a lift jack device to complete the theft.
