Tickets getting scarce for Kincardine Community Singers amazing Christmas concert

If you haven't got your ticket for the Kincardine Community Singers amazing Christmas Concert, "Forty Years of Christmas," you better get one before they are sold out.

Slated for Saturday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m., the concert is an incredible mixture of talent and fun, as well as some magic and silliness thrown in for good measure.

MC is the always-enjoyable John Low, and the musicians are Brenda Manderson on piano, Karen Weber on bass, Steve Deer on guitar and Mike Smith on drums. The choir will also be featuring a string quartet in two of the songs.

Already, the main floor is sold out for the Saturday afternoon concert, and there are just a few balcony tickets still available, as well as tickets for Sunday's evening performance.

Carolynn Mills, president of the choir, said the group decided to try a Saturday matinee performance and a Sunday evening performance a couple of years ago, for the Christmas concert, primarily to accommodate patrons who do not like to go out on winter evenings. It has been very successful.

This year’s program celebrates the 40 years that the Community Singers have been performing in Kincardine. It incorporates favourite songs from past concerts, some new songs and new versions of old favourites. The music covers a wide range of styles –from Vivaldi to the “Kazoo.”

Tickets are $15 each in advance, $18 each at the door; and $5 each for children. Advance tickets available at Harbour Rose Boutique, from choir members, or on-line at www.KincardineCommunitySingers.ca.
