Gorgeous night for Tiverton tree-lighting; and more Tiverton news
Sunday night was Christmas in the Village, with the ninth annual Christmas Tree-lighting at St. Andrews Park. It was a gorgeous night with a great crowd. People enjoyed cookies, hot apple cider and carols before being greeted by Santa who joined the children in the countdown to the lighting. After eating a part of his sign, Jimmy the miniature donkey enjoyed receiving carrot treats from the children. For photos of the tree-lighting, see the Photo Gallery below.

MANOR MUSINGS
The residents of Tiverton Park Manor were treated to Christmas music by the Huron Heights School Band last week. Each year, the band visits retirement homes in the area to entertain. Thanks to all the students and their director, Heather Weber.
Sunday afternoon, the Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church Sunday School children performed their Christmas pageant, featuring shadowed images behind a curtain and a narrator telling the story of the Birth of Jesus, with musical accompaniment.
Friday night, the residents took a trip to the Owen Sound Festival of Northern Lights. This has been an annual event for the past seven years and they were not disappointed. Before seeing the lights, they had a lovely dinner at the Harrison Park Inn. Thank you to the volunteers who came along to help out.
