Driver returns to crash scene on snowmobile and gets arrested
(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - A 25-year-old Central Huron man has been arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Over-80, following a crash that took place in December.

Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at 5:42 p.m., Huron County OPP officers were dispatched to attend a single-motor-vehicle collision that took place on Cransford Line. A witness called police to report the crash and to advise that the driver was suspected to be intoxicated.

Police also learned the driver got picked up at the crash scene and had just returned to the scene, operating a snowmobile.

Upon arrival, the investigating officer spoke with the driver and also made several observations that his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol.

He was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving and was transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.

Wesley BOYES, 25, of Central Huron has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motorized Snow Vehicle with Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 22, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

He also received an automatic 90-day driver's licence suspension and his vehicle was towed and impounded.

*THESE CHARGES HAVE YET TO BE PROVEN IN COURT*
