Thieves steal $12,000 worth of tools from maintenance shop in Goderich
(GODERICH, ON) - Huron County OPP officers are investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at the Sifto's evaporator plant maintenance shop this past weekend.
Sometime between 4:14 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, suspect(s) entered the maintenance shop, located on Regent Street. Once inside the building, they forced entry into a secure area where they stole numerous power tools.
Some of the stolen tools include: Dewalt grinders, Dewalt drills, Westward wrench sets, Honeywell Miller beam clamp anchor, Dewalt mitre saw, Milwaukee skill saw, various lanyards, gas-powered Echo saw, and several Dewalt flashlights and batteries.
In total, the stolen goods are believed to be worth about $12,000.
Police believe the suspect(s) may have been driving a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck.
