Society of Energy Professionals donates $10,000 to Huron Shores Hospice
The Society of Energy Professional has donated $10,000 to Huron Shores Hospice, supporting the Phase 2 fund-raising efforts to bring a second residential hospice bed to southern Bruce County.

“The Bruce Local of the Society of Energy Professionals is proud to be a sponsor of the Huron Shores Hospice," said
Jeff Cronin of the Society. "The Society and its members believe strongly in supporting the local communities. We are honoured to be able to support the local hospice at the Tiverton Park Manor.

"Helping to make people comfortable in an end-of-life situation is absolutely essential, and the best way possible to help people and their families in such a stressful situation. The Huron Shores Hospice Tiverton location is ideal for Saugeen Shores and Kincardine-area families and limits time spent travelling to facilities further away, allowing the families more time with their loved one.

"Thanks to you, the board of directors, and all those responsible for creating this facility, and for making the local community a better place for those living here.”

Huron Shores Hospice is a non-profit organization working to bring a centre for excellence in hospice palliative care to the Kincardine area. The volunteer group plans to provide holistic care to meet the physical, psychological, social, cultural, emotional, and spiritual need for people facing the end of life, as well as offering support for their loved ones.

The board is moving toward opening the first residential hospice bed at Tiverton Park Manor in the first quarter of this year.

“We are very pleased to be moving into our Phase 2 fund-raising efforts," said Cheryl Cottrill, board chairperson, "and to have the Society of Energy Professionals make this generous donation, showing such tremendous support.”
