Community Foundation Grey Bruce offers grants to non-profit organizations in region
Officials at Community Foundation Grey Bruce invite charities and non-profit organizations to apply for grants to support projects that benefit people and communities in Grey and Bruce counties.
Groups may access the new on-line application form and criteria at the foundation’s website:
communityfoundationgreybruce.com. Applicants should contact the foundation’s grant co-ordinator, Wendy Bachiu, before applying to ensure eligibility of their project. Application deadline for spring granting is April 15.
Granting priorities are based on Community Foundation Grey Bruce’s 2016 Vital Signs® report which gathered statistics on needs to be addressed in our region in the areas of health and wellness, arts and culture, education and lifelong learning, living standards, the environment, and community connections. Applicants are required to describe how their project addresses one of the indicators of community vitality as outlined in the Vital Signs report.
Charities and non-profits can also learn about funding opportunities with both Community Foundation Grey Bruce and several other potential funders, at a Spring Granting Fair and Non-profit Workshop, March 14, at the Royal Canadian Legion, Owen Sound. Full workshop details are available at
communityfoundationgreybruce.com or by calling 519-371-7203. Cost is $20 per person, with lunch included.
