Bruce Power offering $50,000 in post-secondary scholarships again this year
High school students in Bruce, Grey and Huron counties can now apply for post-secondary scholarships as part of Bruce Power’s annual scholarship program.

Once again this year, Bruce Power will award $500 to 100 successful applicants who are pursuing post-secondary education or a trade, for a total of $50,000 in scholarships.

All applicants for the eighth annual scholarship program must read the eligibility requirements and then complete the on-line form at: www.brucepower.com/community/scholarships. Applications are due by May 9 and the scholarships will presented to the recipients at a breakfast event, May 25, at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre.

“Education is the foundation for success, and we want to play a small role in encouraging local youth to pursue higher learning,” said James Scongack, vice-president, corporate affairs and environment. “Whether or not these students work for Bruce Power in the future or explore careers in other fields, we wish them nothing but success.”

Bruce Power will also award thousands in elementary and secondary school awards across Bruce, Grey and Huron counties for Grade 8 and Grade 12 graduates later this year.
