Kincardine Multicultural committee organizes shore clean-up, April 18, at Station Beach
Canada is one of the most naturally-beautiful countries in the world, blessed with pure water, clean air, forests, lakes, wildlife, and biodiversity, besides the cultural diversity.

As citizens, it is our responsibility to keep this natural wealth and clean environment. Prior to the arrival of warm weather, it is a good time to remove the trash and litter from our beaches and maintain a healthy ecosystem.

Since 1970, the celebration of Earth Day has become an annual worldwide event with about 200 countries showing their support for environmental protection. Canada has taken the lead in many international environmental projects, including climate change.

To support Canadian environmental stewardship, everyone is welcome to join the Kincardine Multicultural committee and Indian community on their Kincardine Shore Clean-up, Wednesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m., at Station Beach, Kincardine. If you are unable to take part around Station Beach, you can choose a location in your area (roads, parks, etc.), focus on clean-up and demonstrate your environmental stewardship.

Safety is everyone's responsibility, so be sure to bring your own gloves and reusable water container and wear appropriate clothing for the season. After a short information session, volunteers will work in small teams to remove litter and at the end of clean-up activities, around 7 p.m., we will enjoy hot samosas and tea in the Gazebo at Station Beach.

Meanwhile, the Kincardine Multicultural committee is preparing for its 16th annual Multicultural Night, slated for Tuesday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m., at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
