Ripley-Huron fire chief Doug Martyn set to retire July 1

After 34 years of service to the Ripley-Huron Fire Department, fire chief Doug Martyn is retiring, effective July 1.

Martyn made his announcement to Huron-Kinloss council, in closed session, at the general committee meeting Monday night (April 6).

In a statement Tuesday (April 7), council said it accepts Martyn's retirement, "with great appreciation for all 34 years of service to the Ripley-Huron Fire Department."
