We finally have a new resident moving into the old Daisy Mart building at the corner of Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 15. Nuvia Canada is part of the international Nuvia Group, specializing in nuclear products and services in support of Canada’s most complex civil nuclear projects.

You may have also noticed that there is some activity going on in the old Carmell’s building. This is a greatly-anticipated event. Stay tuned, folks.

I received an E-mail about a Day of Prayer from someone at the “old Tiverton stone church.” The woman had been trying to send a poster to “Tiverton Happenings” but hadn’t received a response so she decided to contact us. I would gladly post it but she is from Tiverton, Rhode Island! Wonder what kind of response she would have received! We have a twin city in Rhode Island.

LIONS CLUB

The Kincardine Legion is partnering with the Tiverton and District Lions in running the Catch The Ace draw. Huron Shores Hospice will be the charity receiving part of the proceeds. Tickets may be purchased at the Tiverton Kwik Way , Kincardine Legion, Sleepers Bed Gallery, Lake Mart Esso, Edward Fuels and Jean"s Family Restaurant.

Don't miss out on the annual Tiverton Lions Garage Sale, Friday, May 11, from 6-9 p.m.; and Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to Noon, at the Tiverton Annex. There will be a barbecue, Friday at 5 p.m., before the sale. This is always a well-attended event, and I, personally, come away from boxes of great treasures, and the proceeds go to a great cause! Donations gratefully accepted, Wednesday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday, May 10, from 4-9 p.m.; and Friday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No large appliances or clothing.
