Weather plays havoc with start of men's leagues at Ainsdale

A few raindrops did not dampen the enthusiasm of the good turn-out of players for the first Senior Men's Scramble played at Ainsdale, Wednesday, May 2. 

Taking top spot, after a putt-off, with a score of minus-one on the front nine, was the team of Bob Black, Ron Lawless, Hugh Jones and John Curtis. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Mike Fauteux on No. 3, and Al Holl on No.8.

MEN'S LEAGUE

Golfers got a taste of a wide range of spring weather Thursday, depending on which hour they teed off at.

Rain, sun, and winds all welcomed the Men's League to the new year.

Etchy Schmidt took top honours in A flight, while Blair Pollock snared B, Dalton Regier took C and Adam Burgess had D.
The 50/50 winner was Adam Burgess.
