OPP conducting death investigation north of Vanastra

(HURON EAST, ON) - May 10, shortly after 11:15 a.m., members of the Huron County OPP detachment and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to Front Road just north of Vanastra, after a civilian discovered a human body in close proximity to the roadway.

Members with the Huron County OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services and West Region Emergency Response Team are currently assisting with this investigation under the direction of detective inspector Randy Wright of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

The cause of death is being treated as suspicious. The investigation is ongoing and further updates will be provided as they become available.

A section of Front Road between 5^th Avenue in Vanastra to Huron Road (Highway 8), is currently closed for the police investigation.
