21st annual Kincardine Bulldogs beach volleyball tournament a success

The Kincardine Bulldogs hosted another successful beach volleyball tournament at the Davidson Centre, Kincardine, May 2-6.

While everyone was a winner, here are some of the results:

Wednesday night local Recreational League Tournament: “The Crows” were declared the champions, edging out “The Unsullied”.

Thursday night Business Division: GTF Inc. took Bragging Rights in the championship side, with MOT taking the consolation prize. It was noted that all three St. Anthony’s School teams were very skilled.

Competitive Division: Beach Please captured the championship side against Sexy Beaches.

In Recreational A: The Invincibles won the championship side.

In Recreational B: Beach Please held court over Spiked Punch.

With a huge cast of teams in Recreational C, the championship winner was Serving Savages over One Bump Punch.

New this year, was a one-hour edition of Ultimate 4’s. This was intended to showcase some excellent talent ... and certainly did not disappoint. In the championship final, it took sudden-death overtime for Sexy Beaches to defeat Oddballs.

Other winners over the past week include the students from participating area schools and the Air Cadets who all enjoyed the indoor beach volleyball on the arena surface.
