Kincardine MS Walk raises $27,000
A good crowd gathered at the Davidson Centre Sunday, May 6, for the 18th annual Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk.

It was a beautiful, sunny day and the grand total at the end of the event, saw $27,000 raised for MS research, as well as programs and services for those who suffer from the disease and their families.

Members of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band were on hand to lead about 75 participants from the Davidson Centre to Durham Street. From there, the walkers were able select the two-kilometre or five-kilometre route.

Some people were walking in memory of a loved one who suffered from MS, or in honour of a friend or family member who continues to battle the disease.

Lorna Button and Lee Fuller of Tiverton, along with their family, “The Kids from the Ranch,” were walking in memory of Gillian Clark.
