The second portion of Bruce Power's relicensing process begins next week in Kincardine.
The company has applied for a five-year renewal of the two nuclear power reactor operating licences for Bruce A and Bruce B generating stations, and consolidating them into a single operating licence, at the Bruce Nuclear site in the Municipality of Kincardine.
A formal hearing was held Feb. 5 in Ottawa, with three days of hearings slated for April 14-16 at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
The hearings actually begin Monday evening, April 13, at 6:30 p.m., with a presentation by Bruce Power and a presentation by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) staff, followed by questions from the CNSC members.
Over the next three days, presentations will be made by interested parties, beginning with the Municipality of Kincardine at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 14. The hearings continue through to the evening of Thursday, April 16.
