The 78th Fraser Highlanders again took the trophy for the Grade 1 Pipe Band at the 19th annual Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games held July 6-8 in Victoria Park. They also had the best bass.
In second, was the Toronto Police Pipe Band.

In Grade 2, the 400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron Pipes and Drums took first, and also had the best bass, followed by:

There were 27 pipe band competing, and hundreds of pipers and drummers in the solo competitions.
Following the awards presentations Saturday afternoon, all the pipe bands joined in a massed band, and later some pipers and drummers marched with the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band in the Saturday Night Parade through downtown Kincardine.
