On-line petition urges MTO, Bruce County to fix dangerous intersection

On-line petition urges MTO, Bruce County to fix dangerous intersection
To the Editor:

I have started an on-line petition to send to the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO), the County of Bruce, and our local MPPs, bringing attention to the increasing number of accidents and close calls at Bruce County Road 20 and Highway 21 in the Municipality of Kincardine.

It’s one of the most dangerous intersections in the area, with multiple near-fatal crashes every year and it’s going to get worse with more and more traffic using these roads.

There have been two crashes and dozens of close calls in the past two weeks, alone.

As with anything, more voices can make a difference. Would we say something if it could save a friend or loved one? The highway is managed by the MTO, while Bruce Road 20 is managed by the county.

Accident data, alone, has not been enough. For this reason, we ask that you share your concern and be part of finding a solution.

Here’s what you can do: Share this message; sign this petition (click on link below); and contact your MPP, the county and the MTO office.
