Bulldogs notch as many losses as wins in past two weeks
It's been a frustrating two weeks for the Kincardine Bulldogs of the PJHL's Pollock Division, as they recorded as many losses as wins.

Friday night in Wingham, the 'Dogs took a 3-1 win against the Ironmen.

Jesse Carnahan opened the scoring for the Bulldogs midway in the first period, with an unassisted, short-handed goal. But minutes later, Wingham tied the game on a short-hander scored by Jamie Huber from Jarod Logan.

Kent Ribey put the 'Dogs ahead again, on an unassisted goal, late in the second; and Ethan Long scored on the powerplay in the third, from Logan Freiburger and Brent West, to give the Bulldogs the 3-1 win.

Tomorrow afternoon (Dec. 30), they take on the Flyers in Goderich at 2:55 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 22, in Kincardine, the Bulldogs were edged, 5-4, by Wingham, in overtime.

Scoring for Kincardine, were Trevor Donaldson, Jerrid Fossold, Mike Fiegehen and Jordan Caskenette, while assists went to Josh Traynor, Blake Buchanan, Brett Burrows (2), Logan Swanton, Caskenette (2), and Fiegehen.

Friday, Dec. 21, in Hanover, the Bulldogs downed the Barons, 4-2.

Bulldogs' goal-scorers, were Caskenette (2), Tanner Stevenson, and Fossold, with assists to Fiegehen (2), Hunter Robins-Gibbons (2), Jake Fair, Freiburger and Long.

Dec. 16, Goderich downed Kincardine, 3-2, in Goderich; and Dec. 15, Hanover blasted the Bulldogs, 5-1, in Kincardine.

The Bulldogs start the new year, hosting Hanover, Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at the Davidson Centre; game time is 7:25 p.m.

The 'Dogs then travel to Walkerton to take on the Hawks, Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at 8:20 p.m.; and host the Hanover Barons again Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at 7:20 p.m.
