(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Representatives of the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund and the Goderich-Huron YMCA Strong Kids Campaign were all smiles Tuesday afternoon, after they received an equal share of the proceeds from the 2015 Goderich Guns 'n' Hoses charity hockey game.
Held Saturday, April 11, the net result of the game, saw a few hundred fans come out to support two local charities and to have a little fun. The Huron County OPP doused the Goderich Fire Department, 8-4, in the game; but the real winners were the two chosen charities.
A grand total of $7,376 was raised and has been equally split between the two charities. The event organizers appreciate all the generous sponsors, donors, game-day volunteers, fans and community supporters, for making this year’s event a great success.
