Ripley Wolves down Elora, 6-2; game cancelled in Durham
The Ripley Wolves cruised to a 6-2 win over the Elora Rocks Saturday night in Ripley, as the visitors had only two lines of players.
Wolves goals were scored by Nick Locking, Brett Catto and Dan Nicoloff. Those goals were followed by a hat-trick in the third period by Gerrit Satosek, to seal the game, which the Rocks had managed to keep within two with a couple of tallies themselves.
Assists went to Payton Dunlop, Garrett Meurs, Cody Britton, Alex MacLeod, Pat Looby, Nick Seiler, Dylan Sayle, Jarred Colling, and Catto.
Jason Hamilton got the win in the Wolves net.
Meanwhile, Friday night, the Wolves were down after one period in Durham, and the Hockey Gods must not have been happy about it, because an ice malfunction soon caused the cancellation of the game.
The game will be re-played in its entirety at a later date, and all scores and stats are thrown out.
