Tiverton news

All this good weather reminds me that the Tiverton Bloomers will be looking for volunteers to help plant flowers in the village. Planting day will be the beginning of June. Watch for details. Anyone wanting to help on this day should contact me at 519-368-7393. Our current volunteers work hard to make the village look beautiful. Take pride in your village.

The Tiverton and District Lions will be holding a Walk for Dog Guides, Sunday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at the Lions Hall. Pledge sheets are available in local businesses.

May is crop share month. If you are interested in making a donation to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, please call 519-368-7235. The crop this year is wheat.

Our condolences to the family of Elma Dryden who passed away Wednesday, May 6. Visitation will be at the Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church, Saturday, May 9, at 12 Noon with the funeral following at 2 p.m.

We also send condolences to the family of Orville Fitzgerald who passed away Sunday, May 3. The funeral was held Wednesday, May 6, in Kincardine. Both were residents of Tiverton Park Manor and will be sadly missed.

Birthday wishes go out to Carolyn Hamilton.
