Denise Tighe takes “A” Flight for ladies at Ainsdale; and senior men's results
The heavy rainfall during the first week of May, pushed league play back a week at Ainsdale Golf Course, but that was fine with Denise Tighe who won “A” Flight at the first Ladies Day, Tuesday, with a net score of 40.

Following her, were Maureen Peet, 42; and Barb Grubb, 43. Skins winners, were Peet and Tighe.

“B” Flight – Antoinetta MacDonald, 42; and three-way tie, Una MacDonald, Sharon McKay and Cindy Schmidt, 51. Skins winners, were Alexis Gallant, Kathy Mackay, McKay and Schmidt.

“C” Flight – Deb Quinn, 41; Jean Rhude, 42; and Chris McBride, 46. Skins winners,were McBride, Quinn and Rhude.

“D” Flight – Susan Morrison, 42; and tied, Kristy Garneau and Jackie Mitchell, 49. Skins winners, were Garneau, Mitchell, Morrison and Bev Ramage.

“E” Flight – Bev Spence, 40; Mary Ferguson, 51; and Jan Kelly, 52. Skins winners, were Beth Mimnagh, Rene Renaud, Angela Thompkins, and Spence.

Winner of the 50-50 draw, was Marianne Irwin, $14.50

Callaway was the sponsor, and draw prize winners were: Mary Ferguson, Una MacDonald, Ruth Johnston, Heather Struthers and Jean Rhude.

SENIOR MEN'S RESULTS

The team of Murray Wardell, John Downs, Al Holl and Harry Ferrier, won the first Senior Men's Scramble, Wednesday.

In second, was the team of Garry Skelding, Jim Guenther and Steve MacEachern.

And in third, was the team of Harvey Lootsma, Paul Thompkins, Richard Emmerton and Ken Gannett.

Closest to the Pin winners, were Wardell at No. 12; and Tony Stapley at No. 17.

The team that had the most fun, included David Blenkinsop, Derek Kennedy, Bryan Marsh and Larry Irwin.
