Kincardine Bulldogs 22nd indoor sand volleyball tournament another success

The 22^nd annual Kincardine Bulldogs indoor sand volleyball tournament was another great success.

A major improvement, which was greeted with a lot of appreciation, was the addition of old volleyball nets above the barricades, reducing the number of balls escaping from the courts.

Here are the results from the volleyball action:

Wednesday night's local recreational league tournament action (with a theme name of penguin types): Gentoo won the championship, with Chinstrap taking the consolation.

Thursday night action with the business division and no playoffs: Division winners were Canadian Tire, St. Anthony’s 1, Kinectrics, Beta Blockers, Snobelen Farms 1, I’m not Buying, Shoreline Smashers, and EMC 1.

Competitive Division: Bumpin’ Uglies captured the championship against Les Ananas Came To Party.

Ultimate Division, showcasing excellent fours talent in a designated one-hour time slot: Hittin’ It From Behind thrilled all spectators with a win over Bumpin’ Uglies.

In Recreational A: The Beach is Back won the Championship over The Over -Unders, with Calm Your Tips taking consolation.

In Recreational B: Beaton Meats bested Caution Low Roof for the championship, with the consolation going to You’ve Been Served ahead of 2 Bump Chumps.

With a huge cast of teams in Recreational C division, the championship winner was Orville Ready Blockers, and consolation went to the Beach Whales which outlasted their opposition. With so many entries in this division, other category winners were Simon Says and Spiked Tyson.

Not to be overlooked, other winners over the past week included the students from participating area schools and the Air Cadets, all of whom got to enjoy playing indoor sand volleyball

The Bulldogs also donated a portion of the tournament entry fees to Huron Shores Hospice, presenting a cheque for $4,680.
