You may have noticed the Hydrangea trees have been placed around the village. That’s a sure sign that summer is on the way!

Tiverton Bloomers will be looking for volunteers to help plant flowers in the village. Planting day will be June 6. Watch for details. Anyone wanting to help on this day, should contact me at 519-368-7393. Our current volunteers work hard to make the village look beautiful. Take pride in your village.

 

The Tiverton and District Lions will be holding a Walk for Dog Guides, Sunday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at the Lions Hall. Pledge sheets are available in local businesses.

 

There will be a “Decoration Day” at the Port Bruce Cemetery, Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

  

May is Crop Share Month.  If you are interested in making a donation to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, please call 519-368-7235. The crop this year is wheat.

 

The Township of Bruce Historical Society is holding its annual dinner meeting, Friday, June 12, at the Bruce Township Community Centre in Underwood. The theme this year is “Our Weather Events,” with guest speaker Jay Campbell, the former CTV meteorologist. Display at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $18 each.
