Turcotte remains Ainsdale senior men's champion; and Quinn gets hole-in-one

Don Turcotte has retained his title of senior men's club champion at Ainsdale Golf Course, south of Kincardine.

Following two days of play on the weekend, Turcotte won with gross scores of 75-76.

“B” Flight champion was Murray Wardell (79-83); “C” Flight champion was Boyd Carruthers (79-88); and “D” Flight champion was Richard Ford (84-92).

The men's and ladies' club championships will be held Aug. 24-25.

HOLE-IN-ONE

Sunday morning also saw a hole-in-one.

Ken Quinn (right) scored it on Hole No. 12, shooting 125 yards, with a pitching wedge.
