Bulldogs notch three wins, three losses in league play
The Kincardine Fairmount Security Bulldogs of the Provincial Junior Hockey League are sitting at three wins and three losses so far this season.
Friday, they were home to Mitchell and won, 4-3, in overtime.
Mitchell was leading, 2-1, at the end of the second, with Logan Freiburger scoring the lone Bulldog goal on the powerplay from Jordan Caskenette and Logan Swanton.
The Hawks then made it 3-1 early in the third before Bryce McFadden scored from Brett Burrows and Swanton to make it 3-2, and with seconds remaining, Jacob Traynor scored from Mike Fiegehen and McFadden to tie the game at 3-3.
Just under a minute into the overtime, Danny Skinner scored from Freiburger to take the 4-3 win.
The 'Dogs did not do as well Saturday in Mount Forest, limping home on the short end of a 6-2 score.
Caskenette scored both goals for Kincardine, one unassisted, and the other, assisted by Freiburger and Skinner.
The Bulldogs are home to Hanover, Saturday, Oct. 5, at 7:30 p.m.; and travel to Goderich, Sunday, Oct. 6, for a 2:30 p.m. Game.
