Congratulations to Earl Elliott who celebrated his 92nd birthday last week. Family and friends gathered at the home of Joyce and John Farrell to help him celebrate.

Even with all the fog on the Saturday morning of Ripley's village-wide yard sale, there were a lot of folks out and about. Thanks everyone for supporting our fund-raising efforts.
The May meeting of the Ripley and District Horticultural Society was well-attended. We enjoyed seeing Fran Farrell's photos of their recent trip to Australia and New Zealand.
The wedding of Taylor Boyle and Chad Nicholson was held in Huntsville, May 24. Taylor is the daughter of Tracey and the late Kevin Boyle. Irene Boyle and assorted aunts, uncles and cousins, were pleased to attend.
Another wedding of interest was that of Rachel Lochhead (daughter of Margie and Dave Lochhead) in Kleinberg.
Shirley Gilders of Clinton visited Monday with Maureen and Roy Collins and Ann Collins. Sunday, she visited with Ruth and Hugh Duncan at Mary Anne Kukoly's home.
Joyce and John Farrell entertained Marsha Farrell and her family, Karen and Leonard, to celebrate Marsha's birthday. Also attending, were Tania and Pete Lise.

Sheena Houghton and family of Michigan, visited with her parents, Shirley and Doug MacDonald, and her other family members on the Memorial Day weekend.
The 152nd anniversary of the Kinlough Presbyterian Church was celebrated May 24. Former minister, Rev. Harvey Osborne, was the guest speaker. The special music, "Midnight Harmony" of Tara, was appreciated by everyone.

Glad to see the grains popping up out of the ground. And aren't the apple blossoms beautiful this year! Well worth a tour of the countryside but we sure need more rain.
