Thank you for support of Ripley Christmas Hamper program
To the Editor:
RE: “Ripley Lions, volunteers pack 43 Christmas hampers”
On behalf of the Ripley and District Christmas Hamper program, we are sending out a huge thank you to all the volunteer help that makes this program possible.
We had a number of people who gave personal donations and families who gave to our program in lieu of family Christmas gifts. What a selfless thing to do for the less fortunate in our community.
A special thank you to all service clubs in our area. Your generous donations helped us to supply fresh fruit and vegetables in the hampers. To the community well-being program, thanks for your donation to kick-start the hamper program again this year.
To those who contributed to the donation boxes at various outlets and the Ripley-Huron Community School toy drive, please know that your contributions will surely bring many smiles to the lucky people who received them.
This year, we packed 43 hampers and distributed them with help from our volunteer packers and drivers. Nineteen families, four couples and 20 individuals, for a total of 115 people in our community, were recipients of this generosity.
We could not have done this without your effort and support. As a result, you have brightened the Christmas season for many in our community.
