Update from Tom Cuyler and family in Australia
To the Editor:
The following letter was sent to Keith and Lola Davidson, formerly of Kincardine, from Tom Cuyler, a Kincardine native now living in Australia:
Dear Keith and Lola and family:
Hope this card finds everyone well, and that you enjoyed a great Christmas and New Year.
It was a busy time for us just before Christmas with the wild bush fires. We are very lucky the fire didn't get this far.
Today, it's raining so I have finally got time to send a card.
My daughter, Mia, and her husband, Sam, live up in a house behind my house. Their twins, a boy and a girl, are four and will be five in November. I babysit on Fridays – we have a good time.
My right hip needs replacing, so in June, I will be getting a new hip. I had the left one done five y ears back.
It's so good not worrying about fire with the rain.
We have a family of koalas living here, and a baby duck-billed platypus in the swimming hole.
Bye for now,
Tom and family

A bush turkey at my place - good eating, but protected now as at one stage, they were going extinct
