KDSS swimmer Lilly Egberts wins Junior Girls top score medal at CWOSSA

Lilly Egberts (right) of the KDSS Knights Swim Team, has been named the CWOSSA champion for the Junior Girls, tying for first place and the top score medal.

The team travelled to the Wilmot Recreation Complex in Baden, Wednesday, for the CWOSSA finals. Swimmers qualified for this event at District 10, held at the University of Guelph last week.

The Junior Girls medley relay team of Kennedy Urie, Elle Cottrill, Abby Hegmans and Taylor Carney, opened the meet with its fastest time of the season, and a second-place finish.

Finishing fifth in the Junior Girls free relay, were Morgan Talbot, Elle Cottrill, Kennedy Urie and Lilly Egberts.

Individual Top-five finishes were as follows:
 

• Taylor Carney - 3rd - Jr Girls 100 m Free
• Lilly Egberts - 4th - Jr Girls 50m Free; 4th - Jr Girls 50 m Fly; 4th - Jr Girls 50 m Back
• Lucas Bronkhorst - 4th - Jr Boys 50 m Breast; 5th - Jr Boys 50 m Back
