Cottagers must stay at home, says reader

To the Editor:

This is addressed to the cottagers in Bruce-Grey.

What is it you do not understand about the REQUEST from the Ontario government to remain at home and do not go to your cottages this weekend?

We do not have the health resources in cottage country that you, in the cities, have to fight this COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

There is way too much traffic in Kincardine compared to normal weekend traffic on our roads, and in our stores compared to previous weekends. I have heard that this is also the case in Saugeen Shores.

If the cottagers cannot follow the guidelines, I suggest that the municipalities hire students to shut the water off at the street valve to non-permanent residents.
