Confusion over whether beaches are closed or not, says reader
To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine area may see fire ban end, but beaches closed for long weekend”

This could become very confusing for everyone concerned if you change the status on open and closed beaches.

Unless signs are up at each entrance, no one can be expected to know if the beach is open or not.

In Inverhuron, if cottagers are allowed on the beaches, who can identify them? When others see people on the beach, they will also go on.

Cottagers do not have Internet, so how do they know the rules and regulations?

More forethought should have been done before the beaches were opened, and possibly, they should have been left closed until later into summer.

Even as a permanent resident, I feel it has become confusing.
