PROPERTY OWNER INTERRUPTS THEFT
(WALKERTON, ON) – June 22, at 4:06 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from the driveway of a residence in the 900 block of Old Durham Road in Walkerton.
Two men were going through the car and ran off when the owner hollered at them. A yellow Dewalt cordless drill, valued at $150, was stolen from the vehicle.
CALLER HELPS POLICE STOP IMPAIRED DRIVER
(KINCARDINE, ON) – June 20, at 6:39 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a call to report concerns with the driver of a blue Ford Explorer on Kingsway in Kincardine.
The vehicle was located and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Forty-eight-year-old Kirk MURRAY of Brockton was charged with impaired driving and operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug, 10, to answer to the charges.
POLICE INVESTIGATING FAIL-TO-REMAIN CRASH
(CHESLEY, ON) – June 19, at 8:25 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a fail-to-remain collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 1st Avenue South and 6th Street Southeast in Chesley.
At about 5:10 p.m., a man was jogging northbound along the sidewalk of 1st Avenue South in Chesley. As he crossed 6th Street Southeast, a silver Pontiac four-door car turned onto 6th Street Southeast and knocked him to the ground. The vehicle had been northbound on 1st Avenue South and continued eastbound on 6th Street Southeast.
The jogger was treated at hospital for minor injuries. Police are looking to speak with the driver of the silver Pontiac.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN LAWN TRACTOR
(CARRICK TWP, ON) – June 19, at 8:05 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from a farm property in the 600 block of Sideroad 15 North, Carrick Township.
Sometime between 8 p.m. June 16, and 6 p.m. June 18, a yellow/ivory 2008 Cub Cadet GT2550 22-horsepower riding lawn mower was taken. The value of the stolen lawn tractor is estimated to be $4,500. Serial number is on file with police.
