Kincardine Atom Kinucks recognized for co-championship finish
The 2019-20 Kincardine Atom Kinucks recently received plaques from the Municipality of Kincardine, after the rep. team's well-deserved Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) All-Ontario “B” co-championship.

Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the final series between the Kinucks and the Mooretown Flags was cancelled and both teams were named co-champions. The Kinucks were to play the Drayton Defenders in the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA) finals as well.

The Kinucks season was full of highlights, including a Wingham Regional Silver Stick championship, Thorold Tourney championship, a 24-game unbeaten streak, a final record of 48-9-2, a WOAA finals bid and an OMHA finals bid.

The team sends special thanks to its sponsor, Canadian Tire, and to Kincardine councillor Doug Kennedy for arranging the municipal plaques.
