Readers call for railings, gates and locks on piers in Kincardine

RE: “Toronto man was adult who died trying to save teens at pier in Kincardine”
Due to the fact that people will still walk around and ignore closed signs on the piers, why not place railings around them?
Open piers are dangerous, period!
I understand that young people like to jump off the piers and such, but how many lives must be lost and lives ruined before we act?
Put a railing around the piers and save lives. We can still enjoy walking and fishing but it cuts back on the danger during high winds.

The piers need to be gated and locked on windy days so no one can go across.
