Kincardine needs round-abouts at Highway 21 intersections, says resident
To the Editor:

This summer and COVID-19 (Coronavirus) have brought a lot of visitors to Kincardine.

Along with extra vehicles in the municipality, there is plenty of construction on major streets around town. These construction areas mean it takes longer to get around.

When you're out, and trying to make time for the extra distance, your patience gets thin.

Take, for instance, the corners at Kincardine Avenue and Highway 21, as well as Russell Street and Highway 21. The traffic has increased and these corners are getting treacherous for drivers trying to access the highway.

We don't need anymore traffic lights on Highway 21, but a round-about just might be the answer.

Harriston has a round-about, and the ones at St. Jacobs and Listowel keep the traffic flowing smoothly.

There have been too many accidents and close-calls at the Highway 21 corners in Kincardine and it's because people are losing their patience.

We need to contact Kincardine council, as well as Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson and Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb, and tell them to try and make these corners safer.
