Police release name of man who died after truck slid off north pier at Kincardine Harbour
(LAKE HURON, ON) - The South Bruce OPP has released the name of the man who died after his truck slid off the north pier and into Lake Huron at Kincardine Harbour, Saturday, Jan. 2.
Police and Kincardine firefighters were called to the scene at 9:03 a.m., and located the pick-up truck in the water. Shortly after 4 p.m., the truck was removed from the water.
The driver has been identified as 59-year-old Terry Hunter of Kincardine, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the truck was turning when it slipped into the water of Lake Huron. Investigators have determined that foul play is not suspected.
