Reader has good memories of Clarke Church in Huron Township
To the Editor:

RE: "Old Clarke Church on 12th of Huron Township, demolished"

When I saw the pictures of the demolition of the old Clarke Church, I was filled with gratitude for my childhood, growing up on the  Boundary (first concession north of the 12th of Huron Township).

The photo of the scene at the front of the church, with the words "Enter Unto His Gates with Thanksgiving," caused me to think of all of the experiences while attending Sunday School and church at Clarke's. It has inspired me to write about my memories for I truly believe that those formative years in that church and that community have molded me into the man I am today.

I would like to hear from others who attended Clarke's and, maybe together, we can compile a record of thankfulness for the little church on the 12th of Huron.

I am sorry that we could not have had one more service in the building before it was demolished. But the good memories will never disappear.
