Crowd enjoys entertainment, refreshments at RVilla open house
A crowd of residents, staff, volunteers and the public, enjoyed entertainment and refreshments at the open house held Friday afternoon at RVilla Retirement Living in Ripley.

Serena Rutledge, daughter of RVilla owners Gary and Anita Rutledge, sang and played the piano. And volunteers Joan MacKay and Theresa Campbell served punch, along with fruit and vegetable trays, and sweets.

There were also tours of the 53-room retirement home, located on 22 Park Street in Ripley, which offers a variety of rooms, including studios and suites.

In the midst of the open house, RVilla resident Reuben Burnett, formerly of RB's Driving in Pine River, celebrated his 90th birthday.

Wearing his smart travelling hat and smiling, Burnett posed for photos with his birthday balloons, and several pictures and memorabilia. Burnett's family held a birthday tea for him Saturday afternoon at RVilla.
