Reader pleased to see store operating out of his grandparents' home in Kinlough

RE: "Kinlough Produce Market now open on Bruce Road 1, north of Lucknow"

I have just come across your story from May of last year, regarding the opening of the Produce Market in Kinlough.

I was amazed to read this and see the wonderful pictures; you see, this was my grandparents’ home and for all my childhood, they ran the general store there.

After their passing, the farmhouse stayed with my father; however, he never went there, and other than having someone watch over it, it was not used for anything.

After my father passed, we sold it to the present owners. I am so pleased at what they have done - especially the fact that a store has reopened and that it brings some much-needed new life to the community.

I wish them all the best! I would think my grandparents are looking down and smiling to see a business operating there again.
