Accessibility improvements needed at arts centre entrance, says reader
To the Editor:
RE: “Kincardine unveils new accessibility video”

As the wife of someone who uses a walker to get around, I can say that most places in Kincardine are accessible.

However, improvements I could recommend at the Kincardine Arts Centre, would be additional handicapped parking spaces, as there is only one; and a change in the snow-clearing pattern from that handicapped parking to make the entrance by the elevator more accessible in winter.

If we are early enough and lucky enough to find parking on Durham Market North, we have to walk down the street in the traffic lane to the corner at Queen as the snow is not cleared for a way to get off the street further east.

Even if the additional spaces were temporary and in place only on performance days, it would help.
