Kincardine proactive in declaring state of emergency, says reader

RE: “County, Kincardine premature in declaring state of emergency, says councillor”
This is in response to a letter to the editor by Bill Stewart, a Kincardine municipal councillor.
I believe that the municipality was being proactive in declaring a state of emergency when it did.
I believe that Bruce County, the province and the country are being a little too reactive to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, not proactive. The whole country should have been locked down three weeks ago.
We are not even close to seeing any control of this virus. The world has been slow to react, including the World Health Organization.
China had it right when officials locked everything down so quickly, and may have stopped, or at least slowed, the virus right down.
When this worldwide emergency is over, Mr. Stewart, you will be wishing everyone else was proactive like the Municipality of Kincardine was!
If not, no harm done!
