Reader questions travel photos in “Where were you during COVID-19?” contest
To the Editor:
RE: "More submissions for “Where were you during COVID-19?” contest"

I always like the “Where’s Liz?” contest and I appreciate the spin you have put on it this year: “Where were you during COVID-19?”

However, I do not think there should be travel photos from South America or any other country. It is due to travel that the novel coronavirus spread so let’s not promote travel.

The intent is that we have all been in our homes for the past six weeks or more - and still counting. The contest is about photos of how we have been spending that time.

Our local businesses are suffering, children cannot go to school, we are all getting “cabin fever” and not able to visit our family members. Many families in the province have even lost loved ones.

The losses are many but I think this contest can shine a light on the little ways we can have fun and stay strong. It is a way to share with our neighbours and the community in a time of social-distancing.
